Welcome to Grill Country® Texas BBQ BBQ Restaurant

In the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses and organizations faced unprecedented challenges, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post that Jeff was a member of. With the post struggling, Jeff had an idea to help raise funds: sell BBQ sauce at a local farmers market using his Mom's beloved recipe. With determination, Jeff and his wife Lisa got to work in their kitchen, scaling up the recipe.

From the beginning, Jeff and Lisa received invaluable help from their Family and Friends. Whether it was taste-testing batches of sauce, helping with the packaging, taking professional product photos, or lending a hand at the farmers market, their loved ones were always there to support them. The original BBQ sauce quickly gained a solid demand, thanks to their collective efforts and the mentorship they received. Friends and Family with business experience offered guidance, helping Jeff and Lisa navigate the early challenges of entrepreneurship.

As the popularity of the original BBQ sauce grew, Jeff and Lisa developed a sweet and spicy version, along with a couple of original BBQ rub recipes. Their sauce and rub business started to gain traction, and they began receiving requests from close Friends and Family to cater events. The support from their loved ones didn’t stop there; they helped Jeff and Lisa at catering events, ensuring everything ran smoothly and offering continued business advice.

The catering success led to more encouragement from loved ones, urging them to open a restaurant. In late 2023, the opportunity arose when a restaurant space in Copperas Cove became available. Seizing the chance, Jeff and Lisa opened Grill Country Texas BBQ. Their Family and Friends were instrumental in this transition, helping with everything from renovating the space to promoting the grand opening, and offering business mentorship along the way.

Since then, Jeff and Lisa have been serving up mouth-watering BBQ with a strong commitment to selfless service. They continually give back to the local community by donating gift certificates for charity raffles, raising money for local school programs, and supporting veteran causes. Their Family and Friends remain involved, volunteering at community events, contributing to various charitable initiatives, and providing ongoing business guidance.

The sauces and rubs that started it all remain a hallmark of Grill Country Texas BBQ, symbolizing Jeff and Lisa's dedication to quality and flavor.
